Goal Engine

What it is

The Goal Engine's home is now the AEP Goals hub at /empire/goals (Dee, Aug 10 2026), moved out of My Products, with three types on one board: Business goals (/empire/goals/business), Personal goals (/empire/goals/personal), and Financial goals (/empire/goals/financial), each card showing a live count over a recent-goals rail. Business and personal goals have SEPARATE create doors (Dee, Aug 20 2026): /empire/goals/business/new and /empire/goals/personal/new, with no type toggle, so a business goal can never file itself under personal. A business goal MUST name the organization it belongs to (required, plus an optional brand) and surfaces on that org/brand's Org Design Cheat Sheet; a personal goal has no organization picker at all and is never scoped to a company. The old /empire/goals/new link routes to the right door. The description box has a dictation mic. Kenny leads a goal-setting conversation (money targets across timeframes from next month to 10 years, the 6 month and 5 to 10 year picture, real hours per week, and career, business, life, and community goals), then turns it into structured goals the member confirms: each with a category, a timeframe, a concrete target, and a date, tracked with milestones, tasks, and outcomes. The Goal Engine's product pages still exist under /my-stuff/goals (the standalone My Products shell), but its HOME is the AEP Goals hub now. The My Stuff hub at /my-stuff/goals has two create entry points at the top (Create a goal with Kenny, free-text with a mic that opens Kenny's drawer with their words carried in, and Add a goal quickly, title plus category, saved as a Draft that opens for shaping), honest stat cards (active goals, on track with the percent of active, this week's progress logs, targeted spend against total budget), a filterable Your goals grid or list (All/Active/Draft/Completed pills, category filter, sort, cards/list toggle, progress rings computed from real task completion), a Next up panel of upcoming tasks, derived Goal insights, and the door to the premium Business Financial Goals engine at /goals/financial. Adding and editing goals is a full page, never a popup: /my-stuff/goals/new (also /goals/new) with goal details (title, description, why this goal matters, category as the life area, goal type as the shape: milestone, number, or habit goal, target date, optional dollar target and budget, a visual-inspiration image upload), a goal-specific target metric that adapts to the category (weight for Health, dollars for Financial, books or miles for Personal Growth, revenue for Business), and a Draft/Active/Paused/Achieved status control. Each goal's detail page has five tabs: Overview, Milestones & Tasks (accordion milestones with tasks, per-milestone menu, add task/milestone, and Kenny's AI action-plan band that maps generated milestones straight into the plan), Activity Log (logged time, spend, and notes with filters, a week snapshot, and a progress ring), Analytics (charts from real logged data only, with honest not-enough-data states), and Notes & Files (quick notes with voice dictation, tags, pins, milestone links, simple folders, a files library on the platform's storage, and Ask Kenny about your content, which summarizes only the notes and file names that exist, using credits). Visiting /goals redirects a member to the hub; logged out, /goals stays the porch chat front door. A goal is NOT a plan (Dee's Laws of Plans): creating a goal creates nothing in My Plans; from the goal's workspace the member taps Activate a plan and attaches it to an organization, a brand, or Personal, and only then the goal's plan appears on the My Plans shelf (un-activating removes it from the shelf and leaves the goal untouched).

What it is for

setting realistic, trackable goals and measuring success against them

How to use it

On /goals, Kenny leads a goal-setting conversation (money targets across timeframes, your real hours, and career, business, life, and community goals). Tap Lock in my goals to turn it into structured goal cards you confirm and edit before anything saves. Signed-in members land in the command center at /my-stuff/goals.
