✦ Free business reference
A real business address, without leasing an office.
Compare the established virtual office networks side by side: professional street addresses, mail handling and forwarding, live receptionists, and meeting rooms you book by the hour. Every listing links straight to the provider's own live location pages, so what you see when you click is always current.
Footprints, services, and prices are as published by each provider at our July 2026 review. We are a comparison guide, not a provider: plans are purchased on each provider's own site, and prices change, so verify there before you buy.
The plain-words version
What a virtual office actually is
A virtual office gives your business a real street address (not a PO box) plus services layered on top: mail receiving and forwarding, a live receptionist answering in your business name, and meeting rooms you book by the hour, all without leasing an office. You work from anywhere; your business presents a professional address in the city you choose.
It is usually the fastest, cheapest way for a new business to look established: a commercial address for your website, invoices, and Google Business Profile, a place to receive business mail, and a real conference room when a client wants to meet. Many members pair one with business registration so their home address stays private.
One honest heads-up: US providers are required to verify your identity before handling your mail (USPS Form 1583, notarized, under CMRA rules). That paperwork happens directly with the provider you choose, not here. Also, a virtual office address is not the same thing as a registered agent; some states let one address serve both roles, but check your state's rules or ask the provider directly.
Setting up the business itself? Every state's official filing office, in the honest order, is in our free directory.

A dot means the service is not that provider's core published offer; it may still be available at some locations. Always confirm on the provider's own site.
A different thing with the same name
Heads up on the other meaning of "virtual office": Gather is a digital workspace where your remote team meets and collaborates like being in the same room. It is software for working together, not a business mailing address. If you need an address for registration, mail, or client meetings, use the providers above; if you need a place for your remote team to feel like a team, this is that. Visit Gather →

How to choose a virtual office
1.
Start with the city, then the address
Pick the city your customers or investors expect to see, then look at the actual street addresses each provider offers there. A recognizable commercial address carries more weight than a cheaper one on the edge of town.
2.
Decide address-only vs full service
If you only need a professional address and mail handling, an address-only plan is the budget move. If calls and client meetings matter, price the bundle (address plus receptionist plus meeting room hours) instead of adding pieces later.
3.
Check the mail workflow
Ask how mail actually reaches you: scan-to-email, forwarding cadence and cost per item, and package handling. This is the single biggest day-to-day difference between providers.
4.
Price the meeting rooms honestly
Room rates and included hours vary a lot. If you will meet clients monthly, a slightly pricier plan with included room credit often beats a cheap plan plus hourly rates.
5.
Have your ID ready for Form 1583
Every legitimate US provider will require the notarized USPS form and two forms of ID before touching your mail. A provider that skips this is a red flag, not a convenience.
Footprints, services, and prices are as published by each provider at our July 2026 review.Services and prices change and networks grow; always verify on the provider's own site before you purchase a plan.
