The platform speaks MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard AI assistants use to work with real tools, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and any MCP client can use Unleash Your Ideas directly. The server lives at /api/mcp (streamable HTTP) and its home page /mcp carries one-minute connect instructions for each assistant. Public tools need no key: search the Idea Marketplace with filters, open one idea's full detail card, list the marketplace facets, and get the live platform and plan-price facts. Member tools authenticate with the same API keys as the Idea Data Bank API (created at /settings/api-keys, passed as a Bearer token) and run AS that member: generate brandable names (spends the member's plan credits exactly like a run on the site and saves the session to their My Names), plus read-only views of their platform overview counts, brands, launch checklist, business plans, executive portfolio (AEP companies, stages, and revenue rollups), and a brand's recent social posts. Name results carry live .com availability and trademark screening status; screening reduces risk and a trademark attorney clears a name.
