Registered agent and annual report services renew every year, per company and per state. Smart Launch and Expert Launch include the first year of registered agent (renewing one year after formation); a standalone registered agent ($249/year) or annual report ($249/year plus the state's annual report fee) renews on the payment anniversary. The checkout card is saved for the renewal. Every renewal sends a 30-day reminder (bell and email, with cancel and update-card links), charges the saved card on the date with a receipt, and on a failed card emails Update my card and retries on day 3 and day 7. Members see each renewal's date, price, card, and status on the company page (Renewals) and on State Compliance (Your renewals), with Update card and Cancel renewal; a cancel keeps the paid year (Cancels on <date>) and a registered agent cancel warns that the state needs an agent on file. These 30-day reminders are part of how the compliance guarantee's promise of reminders ahead of each deadline is kept.
