Form a New Company is a guided wizard (entity type LLC or Corporation with member/manager management or C/S tax election; nonprofit coming soon), a state picker covering all 50 states plus DC, a name check with up to two alternates (availability is verified with the state at filing; if the first choice is taken we use the alternates or reach out, no extra charge), three formation packages (Simple Launch $249: the basics with a 2 to 3 week filing process; Smart Launch $399, the recommended one: formation filed in 10 business days or less plus the EIN and a year of registered agent service; Expert Launch $599: everything in Smart plus a trade name DBA, a business operating agreement, and a compliance guarantee), principal activity, addresses, controlling officers, an optional annual-report service enrollment, and one review with one honest total: the package price plus the state's own filing fee passed through at cost (estimated up front, trued up before filing, non-refundable once paid to the state). Payment is through our checkout BEFORE anything is filed; we submit within 2 business days and each state moves at its own pace after that. Add an Existing Company is free and lets compliance services attach to a business the member already registered: annual report filing ($199/year plus the state fee), registered agent service ($249/year), done-for-you EIN ($199; members with an SSN can always get the EIN free and instantly from the IRS themselves, and we say so), and certificates of good standing ($249 plus the state fee). My Companies lists every company with live status; every order has an honest timeline page (paid, submitted, filed or needs-a-fix with the plain-language reason, complete) and delivers state and IRS documents right on the order for download. The member does not have to keep checking back: at every meaningful step they get BOTH an in-app notification (the bell) and a branded email (payment received, filing submitted, filed, each document ready to download, and the honest heads up if anything needs a fix or our team has to place it by hand), and the owner is alerted whenever someone legalizes and whenever a filing lands. A rejected filing is corrected and re-submitted at no extra service charge. Intake flows open with a bring-my-info-over confirmation that prefills from the member's account, portfolio, and Org Design Cheat Sheet; the member edits everything. Checkout is native (Stripe's secure embedded payment inside the wizard, the member never appears to leave), and every formation or EIN review offers Invite to Pay: a shareable secure payment link for whoever holds the card, with the filing submitting automatically when their payment lands. The done-for-you EIN has its own nine-step application wizard inside the executive portfolio shell mirroring IRS Form SS-4 (entity, address, officers, activity, reason, the five business detail questions, expected employees, responsible party, review with a masked SSN and a third-party-designee authorization). Each company has its own detail page with quick actions and a Document Upload modal (registered agent mailbox items and compliance documents stored safely with the company). And for members who want none of the work: Done For You Formation, $997 flat plus state fees at cost, where a dedicated specialist legalizes the business end to end (formation, EIN, registrations) and the member just answers a few questions, with an honest request pipeline (received, in progress, filed, complete). No AI credits are ever used here; these are real paid filings.
