Budget (the expense half)
FreeWhat it is
The Budget completes the money picture inside the Audacionaire Executive Portfolio, sitting under Financials next to the Financial Roll-Up at /empire/budget. It READS the revenue side already on the platform (the organization's master Financial Goal, each brand's goal, and the Lines of Business from the Org Design Cheat Sheet) and adds the missing EXPENSE half, netted against it; it never re-enters revenue. Per organization, breaking down per brand: one budget, two views, seen as the company whole or filtered to one brand with a toggle, every brand's expenses rolling up into the org total. The Org Budget view shows a header stat band (Total Org Revenue Goal read live from the master goal with a link to set one if none, Total Org Expense Budget, Net, and Net Margin %), a Revenue Streams / Lines of Business table read from the cheat sheet (an honest empty state inviting the member to add Lines of Business when none exist), a Brand Contribution table laddering each brand's revenue goal, expense budget, net, and % of the org goal up to the org total, and an Org Overhead expense editor (or that brand's expenses under the toggle) where each line carries a monthly or annual figure, an Applies flag, status, vendor, notes with a dictation mic, and optional detail sub-lines. Project / Client Budgets are the flexible tier: a universal expandable template on the Category Library (25 categories in 8 groups plus an Org Overhead group, each tagged by industry with its typical line items), every group shown, each category a summary line with an optional expandable detail, Applies? per line so only what matters fills, and estimated / actual-quoted / variance (figured for you) / status / vendor columns; a project attaches to a brand, stands alone under the org, or (once the Strategy Center ships) becomes a strategic initiative's budget. Everything is pure arithmetic with an explicit Save that confirms only after the write lands; there is no AI anywhere, so nothing uses credits. Available from the free plan up.
What it is for
planning what a business (and each brand and project) will SPEND, netted against the revenue goals already set, so the executive sees the whole money picture and where the margin really lands
