   Your customers certify finished respirators to NIOSH, so your media must reliably enable that. Build a testing lab (particle filtration efficiency, pressure drop, charge measurement) and produce documented, consistent lot data. Mask manufacturers qualify suppliers rigorously because a media change can force respirator re-certification, so your traceability and consistency are the product as much as the fabric itself.

   Contract with respirator and filtration manufacturers

   Sell to N95 and surgical-mask manufacturers who need dependable domestic media, and diversify into adjacent filtration markets (HVAC filters, air purifiers, liquid filtration) so you are not solely exposed to mask-demand swings. Long-term supply agreements are the goal, because they justify the capital and smooth the boom-bust demand that pure PPE exposure creates.    Diversify beyond masks to survive normal markets

   Mask demand spikes and collapses, so a media business anchored only to respirators inherits that volatility. That diversification is what turns a crisis-exposed materials plant into a durable upstream business.
