   Alpacas are an agritourism magnet: farm tours, alpaca walks, photo sessions, yoga-with-alpacas events, and school visits produce per-visitor revenue fiber cannot match. Check your state's agritourism liability statute (at least 39 states have one, most requiring posted statutory signage) and carry farm liability coverage for visitors.

   Breeding stock sales and stud service (proven herdsires earn real fees per breeding) monetize genetics rather than production, but this market rewards show results, registry paperwork, and reputation built over years. Treat it as a later layer on a running farm, not the entry plan.

   An online shop and craft-fair calendar for fiber goods, a holiday season push, farm event weekends, and a small email list of past visitors turn a once-a-year harvest into monthly revenue. The farms that thrive are marketing businesses with alpacas, not alpaca collections with a price sign.
