   Build an honest benchmarking picture

   Assemble realistic fee bands by speaker tier and market: emerging speakers commonly at roughly $2,500 to $10,000 per talk, mid-tier professionals $10,000 to $25,000, and only established names beyond. Note how topic, audience, virtual versus in-person, and travel shift the number. Keep it honest and current; your entire credibility is that you tell speakers the real range, not a flattering one.

   Offer a fee-setting session, a contract review, and a negotiation-prep call, each as a fixed-price service. These are short, high-leverage engagements: an hour that saves a speaker from underpricing a year of talks or signing a bad bureau deal is easy to justify.    Explain bureau economics before they sign

Help speakers understand what a bureau does and does not do, whether they are ready to list, and how to evaluate an offer.    Your buyers are emerging speakers about to quote a fee, weigh a lowball offer, or sign a bureau or booking contract. Find them in speaker communities, coaching programs (partner with delivery coaches who do not advise on money), and content that teaches real speaking economics.
