Prove you can fill a calendar before you promise one to a new hire, then hire against real, not hoped-for, demand.

   Hire for fit and build a culture clinicians stay for

   Turnover is the enemy of a group practice, so hire carefully for both clinical quality and values fit, and then give people a reason to stay: fair compensation, real administrative support so they can focus on care, good supervision, manageable caseloads, and a culture that respects the work. Replacing a clinician is expensive and disrupts clients, so the owners who win treat retention as a core job, not an afterthought.

   The endgame is a practice that serves a community and does not depend on you personally seeing clients or touching every task. Document your systems (onboarding, billing, clinical standards, hiring), delegate operations as you grow (a practice manager is often the highest-leverage hire), and keep the economics clear: a sustainable margin on each clinician's collections is what funds the support that keeps them happy and the growth that reaches more clients.
