   The steadiest civil demand: departing-employee data theft for employment lawyers, device examinations in divorce and custody matters, and evidence preservation for small companies heading into disputes. Post-breach response for SMBs is a different business already served by incident response retainers; your lane is evidence and testimony, and saying that plainly wins attorney trust.

   Learn to write the expert report

   The report is the product: findings a judge can follow, methodology a rival expert cannot shred, and opinions that stay inside what the evidence supports. Study admissibility standards for expert testimony and have an attorney review your report template. Testimony days bill at premium rates precisely because so few technical people can do this part.

   Market through attorneys, not ads

   Present short CLE-style talks to local bar associations on what digital evidence can and cannot prove, introduce yourself to employment and family law firms, and register as an expert in attorney directories.
