   Seed-to-sale tracking where products are sold, air handling and ventilation, ID and age control, security cameras, and staff training are all typically mandated. Compliance is a full-time function, not a checkbox, and the fines and license risk for getting it wrong are severe.

   Because cannabis is still federally illegal, banking is limited and federal tax treatment is punishing on cannabis-touching revenue. Structure the business with advisers who know this industry, and model the tax load honestly before you count profit.
